The Bread Place has been serving the community on Dutch Canyon Road since 2003. It is made possible through the generosity of donations and the dedication of caring volunteers.

Our volunteers give their time in two-hour shifts, helping in the store and gathering bread and other donated items from local bakeries and shops in Portland, Gresham, Clackamas, Tigard, Scappoose, and even as far as Longview, Washington.

Donations are received and stocked several times each week, with care taken daily to ensure all items are fresh and safe to share. We also support our neighbors by providing food to the Scappoose Library’s Wednesday food bank, Columbia County Meals on Wheels, the Columbia Pacific Food Bank, and the North Plains Food Bank.

The Bread Place is here for anyone in the community who could use a little extra help stretching their grocery budget. While everything is available to those in need, we welcome small donations to help cover transportation costs and keep this effort going.
